La Via degli Aromi is a sensory journey that weaves together nature, art, well-being, and social inclusion, curated by Fondazione Agrigento 2025.
From May to September 2025, monthly events will take place in symbolic locations across the city — such as the Kolymbethra Garden, the Botanical Garden, and Villa Genuardi — focusing on the regenerative power of aromatic plants.

Each event, led by experts, artists, and local professionals, will feature hands-on workshops, olfactory walks, tastings, and moments of reflection, enhancing the bond between biodiversity, traditional knowledge, and contemporary well-being.

From natural cosmetics to Mediterranean cuisine, and the symbolic and therapeutic use of herbs,
La Via degli Aromi is an inclusive experience that places the relationship between people, landscape, and culture at its core.

A journey through nature, art, and well-being

Each event takes place in a symbolic location within the Agrigento area, chosen for its botanical and cultural value.

The first gathering, on May 22 at the Gardens of Villa Genuardi, will open the program with a focus on aromatic herbs in natural cosmetics, led by expert Maria Luisa Saladino. The afternoon includes olfactory walks, a hands-on workshop, and themed tastings.

In June, the event moves to the charming Kolymbethra Garden, offering an experience dedicated to the connection between scent and memory, in collaboration with artists and musicians. A sensory journey through fragrances and storytelling.

In July, the spotlight is on the Botanical Garden, where participants will reflect on the concept of care, between landscape and daily practices. The event will include guided walks and a cooking workshop using aromatic herbs, ending with a tasting session.

August offers a sunset gathering dedicated to the symbolic and ritual use of plants, featuring artistic performances, live music, and narratives tied to Mediterranean traditions.

The journey concludes in September with a full day dedicated to sustainability, landscape regeneration, and the sharing of experiences from previous months—an inclusive moment of art, dialogue, and connection with the land.
